That explains why I am posting here. I will possibly be in manila in march/april for non p4p reasons ( about 5 days ) and intend spending time in LOS afterwards.
Having said that I have never been to PI and was considering a trip to AC ( as per a previous thread I made ) but wasn't convinced about going specially just for mongering but as I am going anyway I was hoping you lads would have some insights on manila regards the scene, hotels etc.
I am led to believe that Makati is the main spot ? and some place called burgos ?. Figure I might as well bust my Filipina cherry but as I am going to LOS I can't be bothered going to AC and besides I remember reading a post here that Makati has better quality girls anyway.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Oh almost forgot I am lead to believe the Makati area is somewhat nicer in general ( safer ) than rest of manila ?

Destiny Rescue Thailand. Rainbow 4 raided/Closed.
Just saw a documentary aired in Australia against human trafficking.
It showed a planned raid on Rainbow4. To rescue an underage girl from the Bar aged 15.
Not sure when this raid occured , but supposedly the Mamasan and Owner were arrested. The Bar Closed.
I was quite stunned to hear and see this occur.
Perhaps it happens more than I thought.
The Bars are referred to as "Brothels".
And it really portrayed "us" as supporters of human traffickers/sexual exploiters.

LK Mansion Pattaya
Can anybody on the ground in Pattaya, pop into LK Mansion, and ask them how much for 30 nights for room 602. Let me explain. I have always stay there, same room for years. 3 months ago was 17,000 Baht for 30 days. They always laugh and say, " why you not book room in advance". I always tell them "why you not answer email when I try to book!" So, I try again to book by email and this time I get this response.
Dear sir, we can keep the room for you. please kindly note that the rate for 59 nights will be 53100 BHT sir. So an increase of 333.34 BHT per day! Just over £6 a day. I am hoping it was some head office girl who just rattled off the official rate. The reception at LK Mansion is go down Soi Buakhao towards Pattaya Klang and it is the last left just before Pattaya Klang and reception is on the right. Please explain the above information for room 602, Mr Paul, English man who always running every day. Lol. I would hate to think they have gone down the typical Thai way in recession and just upped all the room rates because if that is the case, then I need to find good room for 60 days this coming Sunday when I arrive Pattaya. But at El Arroyo Bar in South Los Angeles, authorities said, some men ordered drink after wildly overpriced drink, over and over again, as a usually scantily clad young woman sat by their side.
She was a fichera, and her job was to gently coax the usually male immigrants from Mexico or Central America to buy her drinks that could cost four times their regular price. In exchange, such women sit with them, dance a little, flirt and maybe lend a sympathetic ear as the men relax after a long day. The bartender pays the women for every cocktail they can get the customer to buy them.
"The patron's wallet is wide open," said Capt. Jorge Rodriguez of the Los Angeles Police Department. "In a short period of time, they can rack up a big bill and get scammed out of a lot of money."
In September, undercover cops watched from the back of El Arroyo Bar as three ficherasdressed in hot pants and low-cut shirts sipped on miniature cocktails purchased for them. The bartender stuffed wads of cash in the women's hands after the men bought a round of drinks. Fichera is derived from the word ficha, which is a slang term for bottle cap.
The practice violates laws that prohibit the solicitation of alcoholic beverages. Over the years, El Arroyo Bar has incurred tens of thousands of dollars in fines for employing ficheras. The women and the bar manager, Marcelo Barrales, have also been charged with misdemeanors.

Farang tourist police on motorcycle invades Walking Street
Something I hadn't seen; Saturday night, prime time, I'm battling the crowds on Walking Street, trying to walk. Suddenly, out of a side soi comes a motorcycle with a farang riding solo into the throng of tourists.
He was wearing a uniform. He was a Tourist Police person. As such, he seemed to feel privileged to ride his motorcycle thru the walking crowds on Walking Street. Sure hope he didn't hit anyone.

Why are vehicles driving through Walking Street at night?
Has anyone else noticed this? I was there a couple nights ago and the usual clog up you see in the early morning (of baht buses, motorcycles and other vehicles) was there. This was at 2:30 am or so.
What's going on? Do we need to change the name?

Medium Time?
As we know, bar fines are usually quoted as either short time (ST) or long time (LT), which provides both finers and finees with a useful reference point. But since the world is a messy, confusing place, and because mongering is equal parts dark art and imprecise science, I believe we must acknowledge the existence of the MT: the medium time.
A typical MT often starts out as a LT. When you convince yourself that you need to spend some serious time with this sweet girl who's gazing into your eyes while massaging your shoulders / thighs / nut sack. The LT bar fine is paid and it's back to the room.
Fast forward a few hours. The alcoholic haze has faded and your alluring temptress, now minus padded bra, make up and eyelash falsies, is snoring away next to you, sounding not unlike a truffle hog.The essence of an MT is to find that after the initial session with a LT girl, you have no desire for subsequent rounds. And there's a worse scenario still: discovering that you don't even want ST with a girl you've just agreed to take LT.
This was exactly my predicament a few weeks ago when a fatal combination of a dark, moonless night and whiskey-impaired judgement led to a serious case of buyer's remorse back in the room. Of course, I took one for the team, but I then wanted the girl gone. Lucky for me that she turned out to be a runner as well as a starfish. (Ed: how do starfish run?)
"I go now," she said, after our fairly dismal session. "But that's not LT," I said, because even though I really wanted her to go, I always object to runners.

In the end we agreed a fair payment would be for medium time, which I didn't really think was fair, and which anyhow soon reverted to long time because she didn't have change for the medium time amount. But since I'd succeeded in booting my poorly selected long time bar fine out the door in a relatively short time, and for only the nominal cost of a medium time, I went back to bed feeling all warm and fuzzy.

Rip-Off in an A Go Go!
Yeah brothers, another rip off thread.
So I was in Airport A Go-Go, Walking Street a couple of nights ago. Bought a whisky & soda for 125 baht and a draft beer for 85 baht, total 210 baht. Gave 1,000 baht, change should be 790.
Change comes back, I leave 20 baht tip and the server walks off. I count the change, there is 870 baht there, 500, 3 x 100, 50 and 1 x 20. An extra 100.
First thought is to give back the 100, as that is my default thing to do. I look around, the server is gone, there's not another one in sight, the place is busy. Does anyone care? What would be the point in handing this 100 baht back? If this was a small beer bar or restaurant/cafe the money would be going straight back, wouldn't even hesitate. But it's a busy go go, the place would make some good wedge.
So brothers, F. Butterfly pocketed the extra. I ripped those poor buggers off. Please don't tell my mum, she raised me better than that.
In thousands of transactions here I have been the victim of getting under-changed a few times, very very rarely though and the most has been 100 baht. But never have I got too much change.
Has this happened to anyone before and what do you do about? How honest are you? Give it back, or straight in the pocket?

Relationships: Older Men and Girls In Their Early Twenties
Today I just logged into the Philippine Addicts forum in a very long time and one of the most popular threads there right now is how are Philippine girls are liars. You hear much the same things that you hear on this forum, that younger girls are only interested in older guys for the money and they get with young handsome guys every chance they get.
The problem seems to be getting involved with girls that are too young, 18-23. There is a huge maturity gap between a 20 year old girl and a 30 year old girl. I have been with hundreds of women myself and I've seen 18 year old girls who still like to watch cartoons while I've been with 28 year old girls who were much more mature than me.
Women seem to go through several different phases, the 18-22 age is a very unique time in a woman's life. She is at the height of her sexual attractiveness, she is relatively naive, fresh and is hungry for new experiences, which includes men. You put one of those woman into a long term relationship and that is simply not what a lot of woman want at that stage of their lives. You combine that with a lack of maturity and the general lack of common sense that women have in relation to men and you are really asking for trouble.
23-27 is better. The woman has usually matured quite a bit though she has a way to go.
28-34 is much better still. By now a woman knows what she wants in life. Furthermore she is no longer that young herself (though she still may be very sexually appealing). A woman's shelf life of sex appeal decays much faster than men and she knows it. Finding a 30 year old woman who is not damaged goods and who has a good head on her shoulder can be a very good partner. In Asia a 28 year old woman and a 55 year old man is not out of place and she is not exactly desiring young immature men herself.
I don't know why more older men don't go for women in the last age bracket. I don't have a problem with any man of any age going with any woman of any legal age. However if you want to get involved with a 20 year old it doesn't make a lot of sense when you can get involved with a very hot 28 year old and be much more compatible together. Some guys are hung up on age and sex but I've banged plenty of women in their thirties, sometimes even late thirties and have usually had great times with them. I can enjoy sex with any decent looking woman from 18-40 so if that is your hangup where you can only enjoy sex with 20 year old girls that is your problem in my opinion.
I'm 34 now and I'll be older before I know it, hair is already turning grey. At the current moment I don't think I'd ever date a girl under 25 unless she was very exceptional. Bang them sure but not seriously involved. If I was 40 and looking to get a serious partner I wouldn't be looking for a girl much under 27-30. Just my opinion.
